Rockitecture Stoneworks is currently working with 12 of the squadrons at the Mountain Home Air Force Base to provide each of them with a squadron identification rock. These rocks will be approximately 4’ x 3’. Each rock will be sandblasted (a.k.a. engraved, carved or etched) into a piece of Table Rock Sandstone, and will be painted with multiple colors to match each squadrons’ logo. This project is still under way. The pictures below are the rocks we have completed so far, along with the sample pictures that were sent to each squadron before we blasted the rocks. We do sample designs for all of our customers before starting the project to give them a good idea of what the final product will look like. There may be slight differences between the sample and the final product due to working with natural stone, but they are very close.
